Congratulations to our Jayhawk Wrestling team on a solid showing today at the Emporia Winter Classic High School Varsity Wrestling Tournament, they came in 5th place as team out of 16 teams. Great Job to Corbin White (120) and Dre Flores (170) on finishing 1st overall in their weight class! Hunter Holt (195) placed 4th Garrett Seely (152) placed 5th Bowen Wade (126) placed 6th Congrats to Coach Kramer and Coach Avery!

Jayhawk Varsity Wrestling Travels to Emporia tomorrow to compete in a the Emporia Wrestling Tournament. Wrestling begins at 9am FYI for all spectators/fans please follow the expectations that Emporia High School has in place so everyone can have a positive experience at the wrestling tournament. Emporia USD 253 has a very strict mask policy for all fans and mat workers in attendance at Emporia High School home events. Dear Families, USD 346 has become aware of a troubling post that has been shared widely this week on the social media platform TikTok. The post refers to a threat to school safety “for every school in the USA, even elementary,” on Friday, December 17. The post appears to be part of a national TikTok trend and did not originate in our school district. We have heard reports from other districts that the same post is circulating in their schools. While we do not believe the threat to be credible, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking it seriously. Additionally, the district has been in contact with local law enforcement regarding the post. This situation serves as a good example of why it is important to avoid sharing posts online that refer to school safety threats. Even if they are not credible threats, they can cause a great deal of stress and anxiety for our students, families, and staff. We ask our families to monitor their children’s social media activity and speak with them about proper behavior online. If you or your child become aware of any potential threat posted to social media or anywhere else, please notify a school staff member or trusted adult right away. Due to the power outages in Pleasanton and Pleasanton not having school today, the Junior High Basketball Games scheduled for at home tonight have been cancelled.

Due to illness within Yates Center’s school district we have agreed to postpone all of Friday’s (12/17) high school basketball games at Yates Center until after the Christmas Break. We will post the new date as soon as we agree upon it.
