The Junior High (grades 7–8) will hold a School Spelling Bee on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Participation is optional. This year, the School Bee will combine 7th- and 8th-grade students, so all participants will compete together.

The top two winners will advance to the County Spelling Bee. The County Bee will be hosted by Pleasanton this year at Pleasanton Elementary School on Thursday, February 12, 2026.

Any students attending tonight’s basketball jamboree at Jayhawk Linn, we will accept nonperishable food items for your admission. Please pass the word around. Adults will still have $5 admission and students without donation will be $3.

Jayhawk Linn Basketball Teams open tomorrow night (11/23/25) at home with the basketball jamboree. The Jayhawks host short scrimmages with the following teams: Marmaton Valley, Southern Coffey County, and Uniontown starting at 6:30pm. Admission: $5 adults $3 students

Jayhawk Linn Junior High Basketball teams travel to Northeast Arma tonight. The Jayhawks will start play at 5:30pm. Both girls and boys teams will play a full B game and full A game, with the B game starting first. Admission: $4 adults/$3 students/$1 senior citizens

A report was made today regarding a possible threat at JLHS. The situation was thoroughly investigated in collaboration with law enforcement and was resolved immediately. All students and staff were and remain safe. Please know that we take every report seriously and continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone at JLHS.

The Prescott bus could run about 5-10 minutes behind.

Sugar Valley will run early and will be at the club house around 3:05.
