Jayhawk Nation! With enrollment underway, we wanted to remind you one more time that the Federal Program that offered free meals for the last two years has ended. With the return of paid school meals, it is important for families to complete the free/reduced lunch application to determine whether your students might qualify for either a free or reduced price meal. If you have questions concerning the procedure, please call your child's school.
Jayhawk Linn Junior High and High School Athletes/Parents
Jayhawk Linn Athletic Practices will be starting on August 15th this year three days prior to the first day of school. All athletes must get a sports physical prior to the first practice date. Complete physical forms can be picked up at the high school office between the hours of 8am-3pm every weekday or you can print the document off of our school website by going to the menu and click on documents, then click JLHS, then click athletics and scroll down to the KSHSAA Physical Form. If you have your physical completed bring your forms to JLHS office any weekday between 8am and 3pm so it can be recorded.
USD 346 Enrollment is right around the corner and school will be starting soon!!! Please remember that the program that provided free meals during the pandemic is no longer available. All schools will begin charging for meals again this Fall. We encourage all parents/guardians to complete the application for Free/Reduced meal plans. Please keep in mind, that the program does not offer a grace period this year, so you must have completed the paperwork and been approved in order to receive student meals at a free or reduced price.

The USD 346 Board of Education will be holding a special board meeting on Monday, June 27 to examine bids for a district Food Service Management contract. The meeting will be held at the district office at 6:00 PM.
There will be an informational meeting for students who are interested and/or planning to attend the STARS Technical Academy in the Fall. The invitation is for students and their parents. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 16 at 6:00 PM, and will be held at the new STARS center which is at 1701 Laurel Street in Pleasanton. If you are interested, but cannot attend that evening, we will schedule additional opportunities later this Summer.

STARS (Southeastern Technical Academy for Rural Students) located at 1701 Laurel Street (the former Cox Motors building) in Pleasanton, Kansas, is having a program informational meeting for students and their parents on Thursday, June 16 at 6 p.m. Representatives from STARS and the participating high schools will be available to provide information and answer questions. JLHS juniors and seniors who are enrolled in any of the STARS programs for the Fall of 2022 and their parents are encouraged to attend as well as any other juniors and seniors who may be interested in the programs offered at STARS. Good Luck to our State Track Qualifiers and Coaches as they compete Friday and Saturday at the KSHSAA State Track Meet in Wichita!

Gabe Shaugnessy did qualify for day 2 of the state golf tourney and they will try play the tournament today with a 10:30 shotgun start. If they are unable to finish all rounds today they will revert back to yesterday’s scores for placing in the state tournament.
