Cruise Night Route will be 3rd Street, Main Street, 7 Highway, Locust Street.

JLHS "Cruise Night" is scheduled for Friday, May 15th from 7:30 to 8:30 PM. Wash and wax your best set of wheels and join us as we Cruise Mound City and honor our graduates here at the end of school. We ask that students and families adhere to social distancing guidelines and recommendations for the event.

Our Tuesday Class of 2020 Salute features senior Jake Robinson. Congratulations!

JLHS Graduation scheduled for July 18 at 9:30 AM. Our hope is that the Governor's Ad Astra Plan has progressed sufficiently for us to hold a traditional graduation ceremony that morning. We also understand that due to the later date, conflicts may arise with graduates expected to report for military commitments. Graduates that may experience scheduling conflicts with the July 18 date are encouraged to contact Shawn Thomas at JLHS.

SENIOR SURVEY by Kansas State Department of Education- In response to the closing of school buildings due to the pandemic, the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) has partnered with a group of senior high school students across the state to discuss ways in which the Class of 2020 could be honored during the month of May. While high schools across the state are recognizing their graduates in a variety of ways, this group of senior leaders wanted to identify a special statewide program or initiative organized by members of the Class of 2020 to honor their senior year, which was cut short. Ideas have ranged from a statewide social media campaign to some sort of civic engagement activity that all seniors would take part in on a specified day. Please answer the survey below by adding your best idea or ideas on how that could happen while also adhering to state and/or county restrictions due to COVID-19. Your idea might be the one selected for a statewide recognition of the Class of 2020. Today we honor senior Alexis Swearingen with our Class of 2020 Senior Salute. Congratulations!

On Thursday May 7, 2020, JLHS will be paying tribute to the lost Spring activity seasons by turning on the stadium lights at JLHS and at the city baseball/softball fields. The lights will turn on at 8:20 PM (2020 military time) and will remain on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds. Students and parents are encouraged to drive through the parking lots of one or both locations and honk their horn. Please note that students and parents are to maintain social distancing guidelines and not exit their vehicle.
