Three Rivers League Track Meet will continue as scheduled today at Pleasanton. Field events start at 3pm, prelims start at 4:30pm and finals at 5:30pm.

Varsity Golf at Deer Trace today at Prairie View has been postponed until Friday, May 12th with a 9:30am start.
The 2-1A Regional Bracket has been released and the Jayhawk Linn Softball Team will be the #2 seed in the Uniontown Bracket. The Lady Jayhawks will play the #7 seed Erie Red Devils at approximately 4:30pm on Monday, May 15th at Uniontown High School in the quarterfinals. . The softball field for Uniontown is located just on the East side of Uniontown Elementary School.

2-1A Regional Baseball Brackets have been posted on the KSHSAA website. Jayhawk Linn Baseball drew the #2 seed in the regional and will play Tuesday, May 16th against the host #7 Kansas City - Christian. The Jayhawks will play game #4 of the evening Tuesday which is scheduled to start approximately around 7pm, at 5801 West 115th Street in Overland Park. The 1st game of the quarterfinals starts at 1pm on Tuesday.

Jayhawk Nation...This morning before school BUS #8 was approaching the campus of Jayhawk Linn High School to drop passengers off and had to make an abrupt stop to avoid collision. While the bus successfully avoided a collision, the suddenness of the stop unfortunately caused some passengers to make contact with the seat in front of them. A few students went to the nurse as soon as they arrived at school, and those parents were contacted by phone. Other students were called to the office by the nurse to make sure they did not have injuries.

Jayhawk Linn High School Track Team travels Monday (4/17) to the Gene Farrow Varsity Track Meet. This meet will be held this year at Iola Riverside Park, instead of its usual location of Burlington High School. Start time is 10:30am for all field events except shot put. Girls and Boys shot put will start at 12:30. Running events will begin with prelims if needed at 11:45am.

Congratulations to the Junior High Golf team today as they finished 3rd as a team at the Iola Middle School Golf Meet!
Great job by all of the Junior High Band members tonight as Jayhawk Linn hosted the Three Rivers League Band Day! Dr. Phillip Payne of Kansas State University provided instruction and direction of the nearly 80 students who attended. They concluded the day with a short concert at 6:30pm in the main gymnasium.
Congratulations to our current and newest inductees to the National Honor Society! Eight new members were inducted last night at the NHS ceremony!
