There is an Optional Cross Country Practice on Thursday, July 24th. Coach Thomas will meet runners at the JLHS track at 7:30 PM. Optional Practice dates for next week are Monday July 28, Wednesday July 30, and Thursday July 31. All practices begin at 7:30 PM at JLHS. If you plan on running with us this Fall, please make sure that you get your physical completed and on file with the JLHS office.

We highly encourage each family to complete the Free and Reduced Meal Application during enrollment. This information not only helps provide support to qualifying families but also plays a critical role in securing additional resources and funding for our school.

There will be an OPTIONAL practice for any students in grades 7-12 that are interested in going out for Cross Country this Fall. We will meet on Wednesday, July 23rd at 7:30 PM at the high school. Please come dressed to run and bring a water bottle. If the temperature/heat index is too high, we will move the practice inside.

Reminder: Jayhawk Linn Junior High Football Camp will be this week July 8, 9, and 10th (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 8am to 10am at the high school. Everyone needs to meet at the front entrance of the high school. Athletes need to bring the following cleats, gym shoes, tshirt and shorts in case of weather and practicing inside, also bring a water bottle.

Jayhawk Linn High School Football Camp will be Monday-Thursday this week (7/7-7/10) from 6am- 7:30am. Coaches will check out helmets tomorrow morning starting at 5:45am.

Jayhawk Linn High School Volleyball Open Gym Practice for Frontenac League tomorrow (7/7/25) at 7am-8:30 am at Jayhawk Linn High School.
JV Tournament starts at Frontenac tomorrow at 3:45pm and varsity tournament plays at 5:15pm. Both are single elimination tournaments.

The Annual Jayhawk Linn Summer Volleyball Tournament is happening tomorrow — Wednesday, June 18, 2025 — at Jayhawk Linn High School! Both Varsity and Junior Varsity schedules will be in play, with approximate match times listed. Come join us for some exciting summer volleyball action and enjoy some biscuits and gravy while you're there! We hope to see you tomorrow! 🏐

The Pleasanton/Jayhawk Linn Combined Trapshooting Team had a phenomenal day at the state tournament! As a team we set a new team PR with 475/500 and finished 7th out of 41 teams. Garrett Conley 98 Hunter Bowman 98 Haelie Wallace 97 Ryan Broyles 92 Alex Lowe 90 Haelie Wallace finished as Female State Champion with 97/100! Many shooters set a new PR today. We have a very young team with 17 first year shooters out of our 41 team members. It is very encouraging when our veteran team members perform at such a high level and set a great example for so many younger shooters just beginning their careers. Eight shooters have earned the opportunity to compete at Nationals in July. Congratulations to the Team/Coaches on a great tournament and Haelie on her State Championship!

Boys and girls in grades 7-12 who want to attend this camp reach out to Coach Traul. This will be a great camp that is close to home. Transportation to and from will be provided. Registration will need to be paid by the wrestler. Early rate ends the 21st. Call with questions 620-224-7753.
