BUS 7 AFTERNOON ROUTE WILL BE DELAYED TODAY - Thursday, Aug 21, 2025

Due to an unexpected event, Bus 7 riders have joined Bus 2 for this afternoon's route.

If your child rides Bus 7, their drop-off will be delayed by about an hour.

Thank you for your understanding as we make this unplanned change.

Tomorrow is the day preschool families, we cannot wait to get started! Please click the link below to review important info from Open House so that we can have a smooth first day. The link will take you to the PreK class website which is also where your child's first day of school picture will be posted at the end of the day. Be sure to check it regularly as this is where Mrs. Schuler will continue to post important information throughout the school year. We appreciate your patience as we work to get her account up and running on the district app to make communication even better. JES 5th Grade Families:
Thursday, August 21st - JES will host it's annual Instrument Night from 4:30 - 6:00PM.

USD 346 is seeking applications for Special Education Route Driver as well as substitute drivers for the 2025/2026 school year. Please contact the district office for questions or application materials. 913-795-2247.

JES Families: Notice our Car Rider Line Adjustments. This will eliminate the backup for our district buses and allow all students to smoothly dismissed from our building. These changes start this afternoon - 8/15/25.

There will be an informational meeting at JLHS this evening at 5:00 PM for those interested in Junior High and High School Cross Country. The practice that was originally set for 7:30 PM this evening has been canceled. Coach Thomas will share information about training this week at the 5:00 meeting. Practice officially begins on Monday, August 18!

Any student in grades 8-12 that were here last year, have paid their tech fee AND have completed enrollment can stop by the JLHS Tech office tomorrow during open house to pick up their iPad. All new students and 7th graders will receive their devices after the first day of school.

Jayhawk Linn High School and Junior High will be hosting Fall Sports parents meetings during the open house Tuesday 8/12/25 at 5pm. The following sports will hosts parent meetings at that time: High School football, volleyball, cross country and junior high football, volleyball and cross country.

Jayhawk Linn Girls Golf Team will host a meeting and sign up on Thursday 8/14/25 at 4pm in the High School Cafeteria.

This will be a great opportunity to tour the building meet our teachers and staff.

Optional Cross Country practice will resume on Tuesday, August 12. There will be an informational parent meeting at JLHS at 5:00 PM that day during the Open House, and then interested runners can meet with Coach Thomas at JLHS at 7:30 PM that evening for conditioning. First Day of regular Fall practice is Monday, August 18.

Optional Cross Country Practice for Thursday, July 31st will be held at the clubhouse at Sugar Valley Golf Course. We will meet in the parking lot at 7:30 PM for an easy run.
