USD 346 is currently dealing with a large number of students and staff impacted by illness. As we work hard to keep our buildings and classrooms open, please help us by monitoring your students and keeping them home if they are exhibiting flu-like symptoms and/or a fever. Thank You!

JES has 12 guiding principles that we use as words of the week. Please join us and help us promote them during the next 12 weeks. Our word of the week for November 21: RESPECT - a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

High School Boys’ Basketball
Friday (11/18) Open Intrasquad Scrimmage & Team Parents Meeting
At approximately 5:15, the JLHS Boys’ Basketball team will be conducting an open intrasquad scrimmage. At that time, all team parents and/or family members who are interested, are invited to enter the main gym and watch the team scrimmage for approximately 15-20 min.
Following the scrimmage (at approximately 5:30) Coach Glaser & Coach Barr will hold a brief (10-15 min.) meeting with the parents in attendance, where team practice/game schedules, player & program participation guidelines will be handed out and the coaches will answer parent questions. Both of these events are completely optional, as all parent handouts will be sent home with their players as well.

District wide dental screenings will be completed Tuesday 11/15 and Wednesday 11/16. Screenings will be based on your selection at enrollment. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your student's school nurse.

Dear Parents, the cold weather is here. I highly recommend dressing your children for the cold and make sure they have a coat. We try to get kids outside as often as we can when the wind chill is in the mid to upper 20s. The other thing we have to prepare for is unexpected fire alarm evacuations. I have only had to evacuate unexpectedly a few times in my career, but when it happens we have to remain outside until the fire department clears us to return. This is a friendly reminder to make sure we are all prepared for the unexpected. Mr. Proffitt
