Congratulations to the Jayhawk Baseball team on their opening night home split with Southeast Cherokee. The Jayhawks won game 1 by a score of 3-0. The Jayhawks lost game 2 to Southeast Cherokee 20-11. The Jayhawks are scheduled to be back in action at home Thursday March 30th with a doubleheader against Colony-Crest. Game 1 starts at 4:30pm.
Congratulations to the Jayhawk Softball Team last night on their opening night sweep of Southeast Cherokee. The team won game one in 3 innings 18-3 and game 2 in 4 innings 16-1. Great start to the season by the Lady Jayhawks!
Congratulations to Gus Grote and Braeden Nation who were both named to the Honorable Mention 2A All - State Boys Basketball Teams. Gus was selected by both of the following Kansas High School Sports Media Outlets KSHSAA Covered and Sports in Kansas! Braeden was selected by the KSHSAA Covered Sports Media Outlet!

Nathan Johnson - 7th overall in the state in the 123 lb weight class
Ryan Broyles - 6th(MEDAL) overall in the state 132lb weight class
Bryton Spencer - 6th (MEDAL) overall in the state 156lb weight class
Paul Haen - 15th overall in the state in the 165lb class
Josh Doan - 13th overall in the state in the 220lb weight class
Taryn Poole - 15th overall in the state in her weight class.
The JES 5th & 6th Grade Band Spring Concert is Monday, March 27. Band students should arrive at 6:15 p.m. 5th grade will go to Mrs. Avery's room. 6th grade will go to Mrs. Boehm's room. Concert will start at 6:30 p.m. in the JES gym.
All high school spring sports (excluding baseball) will have spring sports pictures taken tomorrow Friday 3/24 prior to practices. Student athletes were provided picture packets this week. High school baseball will have their photos taken at a later date.
Junior High Golf and Junior High Track will have spring sports pictures tomorrow at the end of the school day. Picture packets were sent home today with student athletes. Those wanting pictures of their student athlete need to send money and form to school with their athlete for the pictures.
The link below has information for summer driver education. Enrollment is limited to 24 and will be on a first come basis. The entire registration process is required to obtain an enrollment spot. All paperwork, tests, and money is due by April 28th or sooner if spots fill up. https://5il.co/1r5ft

Jayhawk Nation... Please take advantage of our district parent/teacher conferences this week. Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in both buildings. In addition, the USD 346 Technology department is offering a session for parents wanting more information on how to connect with USD 346 using various technology platforms. Those sessions are offered both nights at 6:00 PM in the HS auditorium.

USD 346 has been notified by state and local authorities that several school districts have been the target of a hoax. The targets have received phone calls claiming that there is violence and injuries at the local school. In every case, the calls were proven false! USD 346 has NOT received any calls claiming this, yet we are working with our local School Resource Officer and the Sheriff's Office to ensure student safety and the continuation of normal operations.
