As we enter the season when common illnesses tend to rise, please keep the following recommendations in mind: keep your child home if they have a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, and ensure they are fever-free (without medication) for at least 24 hours before returning.
Come out and support our Jayhawk Linn Cross Country teams today at the Sugar Valley Clubhouse as we host the Coach Chet Hunter Memorial Cross Country Meet! 7th grade races begin at 4pm and are followed by 8th grade, Junior Varsity, Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity races! Our Jayhawk Linn Teams have been running great this season and will be exciting to watch today! Good Luck Jayhawks!

We are excited to share our plans for this year’s Homecoming Celebration on Friday, October 3rd! Our students will have the opportunity to participate in the district-wide parade and pep rally. Below is the schedule of events for the afternoon:
1:00 PM - JES Students Depart JES
1:30 PM – Parade Lineup
1:40–2:10 PM – Homecoming Parade
2:10 PM – Pep Rally at the Amphitheater
2:30 PM - JES students will return to the elementary school.

Congratulations Celeste Schneider on her 2nd place finish at the Tonganoxie Girls Varsity Golf Tournament yesterday at Painted Hills Golf Course! Celeste had a great day scoring a 77 her personal best round, on a challenging golf course with a strong field of golfers! Great job Celeste!
Josie Wade medaled in 6th place on Monday at the Girls Varsity Golf Tournament held at Woodland Hills in Fort Scott by Uniontown High School! Congratulations Josie!!

This is a quick turn-a-round request for a field trip this Friday! The First Baptist Church invited us to play games and participate in confidence course activities on the lawn space of their property. They went to great lengths to design fun outdoor activities for the kids of their church and they graciously invited us to play on the equipment before they take everything down.
