Above picture is Gabe Ross, a Sophomore, in his role acting as William Lacy. A slave that found freedom through the underground railroad in the 1860's. William Lacy made a home near Mound City, close to James Montgomery's cabin. Gabe tells William's story at the replica of the Montgomery cabin in the Mound City Historical Park during school tours.
