Jayhawk-Linn High School Senior Eleanor Vaughn Awarded Prestigious Rudd Foundation Scholarship
Mound City, KS — Jayhawk-Linn High School senior Eleanor Vaughn was honored in a surprise ceremony attended by students, staff, and her family as the recipient of the highly competitive Rudd Foundation Scholarship.
Vaughn, who plans to attend Kansas State University in the fall to pursue a degree in speech pathology, was selected as one of only 50 scholars from a pool of approximately 700 applicants statewide.
The Rudd Foundation Scholarship is a renewable, four-year award that covers any remaining cost of attendance after other financial aid and scholarships are applied. Covered expenses include tuition and fees, books and supplies, and room and board. By removing financial barriers to higher education, the scholarship empowers recipients to achieve excellence in college and prepare to become leaders in their professions and communities. - Dr. Julie Samuels
