Friday night, October 7, Jayhawk-Linn traveled to Pleasanton for a regularly scheduled game. But this was more than just a regular season game. This game was for the Three Rivers League 11-man league title. It also was a big district game for the upcoming playoffs. Also riding on the game was a friendly wager between the two superintendents. Whichever team lost, their superintendent would have to wear a team shirt of the winning team. Both teams played well and hard throughout the night. Both teams had big plays that led to scores. In the end, Jayhawk-Linn finished with a 20-6 victory over Pleasanton. Mr. Laver will be wearing a Jayhawks' shirt on Monday, October 10.
